DE®  ·  Stage Three

Decision Integrity Engine®

DE® is available only after DQ® is embedded. It is not a product. It is not a pitch. It is not the first conversation. It is the AI-native technology infrastructure system for proven decision logic and governance. DE® is deployed only when decision volume, data complexity, portfolio scale or operational frequency creates a manual bottleneck.

Access restriction

DE® is deployed only after two full DQ® annual cycles have confirmed the decision governance architecture® is proven, embedded, and producing data of the required quality and consistency. No exceptions.

Governance amplification™ is a decision governance problem, not a technology problem. DE® extends the architecture at scale, it does not replace decision governance that has not yet been established.

Start a conversation

Human accountability leads. Technology supports. Structure does not emerge from technology.

The hierarchy is not a preference. It is the decision governance architecture. An organisation that leads with the DE®, before its decision logic has been proven manually, is automating the wrong process at scale.

Governance leads

DR® and DQ® prove the logic. DE® codifies what already works.

Accountability is human

DE® amplifies decision architecture. It does not replace the named decision owner.

Volume justifies deployment

DE® is deployed when the same proven decision class® recurs at a frequency that makes manual execution a genuine bottleneck.

What DE® produces

Four outputs. Two live capabilities. Two generated records.

DE® produces four outputs from the deployed governance infrastructure. Two operate continuously. Two are generated decision governance records. Human accountability is maintained at every decision point across all four. The output architecture is discussed under NDA.

Live operational outputs

01

The sponsor holds continuous, real-time visibility of governance standing throughout the retainer.

02

The sponsor holds a formal record confirming active governance oversight was in place at every point in the cycle.

Generated governance records

03

The sponsor holds a consistently produced, audit-traceable governance record at each formal stage, without manual compilation.

04

The sponsor holds a complete, tamper-evident governance record available for formal inspection at any point during the DE® period.

Engine capabilities

Six capabilities. All subordinate to human accountability.

Each capability operates within the decision governance architecture established through DR® and maintained through DQ®. The engine amplifies the decision governance layer. It does not replace it. The capability architecture is discussed under NDA.

01

The sponsor holds continuous governance visibility without manual effort between formal review points.

02

The sponsor holds advance warning of governance exposure before a commitment decision is affected.

03

The sponsor holds a forward-looking governance signal that operates independently of manual monitoring.

04

The sponsor holds documented evidence that governance conditions were under active oversight at all times.

05

The sponsor holds governance intelligence that compounds across cycles.

06

The sponsor holds a complete, tamper-evident governance record at scale, available for formal inspection at any point.

Deployment conditions

The manual process works. The volume is the bottleneck.

DE® is not deployed because manual decision governance is failing. It is deployed because a functioning decision governance architecture®, operated correctly under DQ®, has reached a scale at which manual operation creates a material efficiency constraint. The trigger is operational, not qualitative.

Three conditions that trigger DE®

Volume

The number of concurrent decisions within the governed decision class® exceeds the capacity for efficient manual tracking.

Complexity

The decision inputs required at each cycle include multiple concurrent data sources that must be integrated simultaneously.

Frequency

The decision cycle has shortened to a cadence that manual decision governance processes cannot reliably serve without compressing the review time available at each cycle.

When to stay manual

Stay manual when...

The decision is strategic or politically sensitive

Data quality is inconsistent or unstructured

Organisational trust in the decision governance logic is still forming

Decision volume is manageable within available time

Context changes frequently enough to require manual judgment at each cycle

Deploy DE® when...

The decision is operational and recurs at high frequency

Data flows are stable, structured, and consistently available

Decision Governance logic is proven and consistently applied across multiple cycles

Volume has grown beyond what manual tracking can serve

Manual production of decision governance reports is consuming disproportionate operational management time

The hierarchy rule

DE® is always subordinate to human accountability and governance logic. It accelerates what already works. It does not lead, replace, or override. Technology supports structure; structure does not emerge from technology.

Institutional shift

What changes when DE® is deployed.

Before DE® - DQ® in operation

The governance architecture is signed, embedded, and functioning correctly across the governed decision class.

Every governed decision produces a formal produced manually at each review cycle.

The Assumption currency is confirmed manually at each commitment cycle.

Escalation events are recorded manually as they occur.

Board reporting is assembled manually at each review cycle.

The architecture is not the constraint. The manual effort required to operate it at volume is.

After DE® deployment

Continuous threshold monitoring replaces manual tracking between governed decision cycles.

Assumption deviation is flagged before it reaches a commitment point, not after.

Escalation events are recorded automatically as they are triggered, with the condition and resolution on record.

Board reporting is generated automatically at each review cycle to a consistent governance standard.

Human accountability is unchanged. The decision owner reviews, approves, and signs every commitment. The engine surfaces structured data for human review.

The governance architecture is unchanged. The operating effort required to maintain it at volume is removed.

What the Engine is and is not.

What DE® is not

Not a separately branded product

Not just an AI platform

Not deployed before DR® and DQ® are in place

Not the primary DecIQ® value proposition

DE®'s position in the architecture

The Decision Integrity Engine® is infrastructure within the DecIQ® system. It amplifies what the decision governance architecture® has already proven, executing it at volume, with a documented record. It does not create decision governance logic. It is not the opening argument. It earns its place when a client has completed DR®, embedded DQ®, and reached the point where the volume of governed decisions creates a genuine operational case for automation.

The sequence starts with the decision, not the technology.

The conversation about DE® begins at the right time, not at the point of first engagement. DR® is the correct starting point for any operator who has not yet completed a structured decision governance architecture® engagement.
